“Lucy! It’s time for bed! Lets brush 

and floss your teeth first!” Lucy’s 

mom shouted.

“NO MOM, There is no way I am going to brush or 

floss my teeth!”

SLAM! Lucy slammed her bedroom door behind 

her and went to bed.

The next night, Lucy’s mom said "Lucy! It’s time 

for bed! Lets brush and floss your teeth!” 

“NO WAY!” 

“If you are not going to brush your teeth, they will 

fall out!” Lucy’s mom explained.

Lucy replied,“My teeth will fall out anyways, then I 

get new ones!”

“No Lucy! If your baby teeth fall out before they 

are supposed to, your adult teeth will come in 

crooked!”

“I DON’T CARE”

SLAM! Lucy slammed the door behind her.

The next day Lucy went for a sleepover at 

Grandma and Grandpa’s. 

Grandma said “Lucy! It’s time for bed! Lets 

brush and floss your teeth!”

“I AM NEEEEEEVER BRUSHING MY TEETH!” 

Lucy screamed. 

SLAM! She slammed her door and went to bed.

The next day Lucy’s mom said “Come on Lucy, 

we are going to the dentist!”

“NO WAY! I WILL NOT GO TO THE DENTIST!”

“Lucy, listen, if you don’t go see the dentist 

every six months, by the time you are my age 

you wont have any teeth left at all!”

“AHH, I don’t want to have NO teeth!”

“Then we need to go see the dentist for regular 

check ups!”

“Fine” Lucy pouted.

So Lucy and her mom went to see Dr. Doodle, 

Lucy's dentist.

“WOW Lucy! You have a lot more teeth since the 

last time I seen you!” exclaimed Dr.Doodle. 

“I have twenty teeth now!” Lucy said

“I want you to keep good care of those strong 

teeth you have! If you brush and floss everyday 

you can keep your teeth for your whole life! Now 

lets see how you brush. Lets do 10 circles on the 

inside AND 10 circles on the outside. GREAT! 

Now remember to scrub the flat parts of yours 

teeth too! Awesome job Lucy! If you brush like 

this everyday your teeth will stay very healthy!”
