What is noise pollution? 

Noise pollution is sound that is too much / loud and that can harm humans or animals. it's much like air pollution but instead it is invisible and affects your hearing.

What is noise? Noise is something that is unwanted/unpleasant that can cause disturbance. 

How is sound measured?

Sound it's self really can't be measured but what you are actually measuring is the sound level. Sound levels are measured in decibels units (dB) with a tool called a sound level meter.

How do you determine if a sound affects a marine animal?

Many factors can determine this like how long the sound is and and the frequencies it produces. 

What are the most common sources of noise pollution? Worldwide, the most common Sources of noise pollution are cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles. Planes and trains also contribute to noise pollution. Other sources include factory machinery, power tools, and construction equipment.
