Zippy was lost. 

He did not know which habitat was his. 

"Is this my habitat?" Zippy asked Waley the whale. 

"Let's see," says Waley, "Can you swim?" 

Zippy could not swim. An aquatic habitat was not his. 

Zippy walked till he reached a green area with lots of rain and trees.

"Is this my habitat?" Zippy asked Tails the monkey.

"Can you climb trees and swing between 

branches?" Howled Tails from the top. 

Zippy could not climb or swing. 

A forest habitat was not his.  

Zippy felt a cold chill and there was ice everywhere. 

"Is this my habitat?" Zippy asked Beary the polar bear. 

Beary replied, "Do you have thick fur to keep you warm?"

Zippy did not have thick fur. A tundra habitat was not his. 

All of a sudden it was sweltering hot.

"Is this my habitat?" Zippy asked Humps the camel. 

"Can you go long periods of time without drinking water?" Humps questioned Zippy. 

Zippy loved drinking water. A desert habitat 

was not his

Suddenly the temperature was just right. Zippy was not too cold or too hot. There was water to drink but it wasn't everywhere or falling from the sky. 

Zippy asked Jerry the giraffe anyways, "is this

my habitat"? 

"Yes, Zippy. The grasslands are where you belong."

                                            Zippy finally found his habitat.
