Oh! Hello there. My name's Thompson, and I hope to run for President of the United States of America!

For the 35 years I've lived in this forest, change here always feels slow, even for me, but I hope to change things when I reveal my candidacy as a Democrat.

However, my opponent, Benson Bear, would be difficult to beat, since he appealed to many bears across the country.

Thompson had raised and saved money from other followers and assembled a team to take on Benson Bear.

As the Primary Elections loomed, Thompson must win the Democratic nomination. He would have to face members of his own party. To win the nomination, Thompson must win delegates in each state. If he wins the majority of delegates, he becomes the Democratic nominee. Thompson can acquire these delegates through votes. People can vote in three ways: closed primary, open primary, or a caucus.

In a closed primary, you may only vote for a candidate in a party you're pledged to.

In an open primary you may vote for whoever you want to no matter what party you are a part of.

While other primaries occur in voting booths, caucuses focus around open discussions and physical movement to support a candidate
Once the primaries started in the winter, about a year before the general election. Thompson appeared as far left as he could, as his goal was to appeal to as many in the party as possible.
Eventually, Thompson won the primaries! He decided to hold the democratic national convention in Pennsylvania, where many moderates were with a good amount of electoral votes. He also choose his VP.

Thompson choose Harper Hops as his Vice President since she appealed to high energy youth. He then went on the campaign trail.
I accept your nomination for President of the United States!

First to 270
Up until the first Tuesday of November, Thompson will campaign to gain electoral votes. The first candidate to reach 270 wins the election. The amount of electoral votes each state has is based on their US representatives plus their US senators.Thompson will campaign in battleground states, state that can vote for either Republican or Democrat, and contain and good amount of electoral votes.

I will raise wage for teachers to ensure high quality education

Thompson will campaign in battleground states by making personal speeches, rallies, or phone calls. All of these efforts are to win over voters on election day.
