Annalise Stafford has always had a passion for politics, but what solidified that was when she went to San Francisco and saw how many people were living on the streets.

She started looking into homelessness in her own community while she attended Duke University, pursuing a degree in political science.

She became a private attorney and volunteered at homeless shelters and soup kitchens in her spare time.

Soon enough, she felt like she had enough experience that she would make a good congressional candidate and decided to run for office.

If Annalise had been in office sooner, she would've voted in favor of Affordable Care Act.
