Money, money, money

The History of Polish currency – POLISH Zloty (In Polish: złotówka) (PLN, 1 zloty)
The Polish zloty, as a unit of account, and thus without a material referent, appeared in the Piotrków Statutes of 1496. The aim was to establish a permanent monetary system against which all other types of money could be defined. Ania Dobkowska
The zloty was introduced into circulation on April 29, 1924 as a result of a monetary reform carried out by the Minister of Finance Władysław Grabski and replaced the devalued Polish mark, the currency of the Kingdom of Poland (regency).

The Polish banknote was drawn by a student from our class, Ala Kowalik. She is really talented, isn``t she? :)
Next page you will see curious facts prepared by Hubert Mańkowski and Wiktoria Czerobska.
