This is a Canada Goose!

Canada Geese live in many different places in the United States! However, they live in specific areas during certain times of the year! On the map; the orange areas are where they live during the summer, the purple areas are where they live during the winter and, the green areas are where they live year round! 

Canada Geese prefer to live in warmer habitats. They also like to live near water such as ponds, lakes and rivers so they can swim and eat the surrounding grass!

Because their bodies aren't built for the extreme cold and harsh snow, they cannot live in the Northern parts of the United States in the winter! So, during the fall when it begins to get cold, Canada Geese migrate to the Southern parts of the United States where it is warmer!
