This is my hometown named Integra. It's a lovely place and all the people are always friendly.

And this is me! My name is Atla. I'm an architect and today I'm helping my friend draw the plans to build his house.

An architect is someone who creates the blueprints for a house, and then builds it. It is such a fun job and I love getting to help people build their dream homes.

Hi! My name is Emilio and today my friend Atla is coming to help me build my house. I want to build it under my favorite hill in Integra.

Now that we're at the hill the first thing we have to do is figure out how much space is underneath it so we can know how big the house is going to be. For this, were going to need math!

Calculating the area under the hill is just like finding the area under a curve. The first thing we need to do is make an equation and draw it out on a graph. 

The green shaded part is the section of the hill that we need to find the area for. 

This section is bounded by the ground (the x-axis), the y-axis, and x=40. The equation is y=2x.

Now that we have the equation and where it is bound, we can find the area. The first step is to find the antiderivative which is also known as the integral. 

The integral of 2x is x^2

After finding the integral, you plug in the boundaries given. In this case it is x=0 and x= 40.

0^2= 0        40^2= 1600
