Once upon a time, there was girl who loved to create things. Every day she woke up with ideas about different things that she could make. The girl's name was Artista. Artista figured that she had the perfect name because her name translated from Italian to English means artist.

Artista had one problem and that is that she was afraid to leave her house and her yard. She had lots of creative ideas but nobody except for her and her cat knew about it.

Artista's cat, who she named Monet after a famous French artist, loved to roam around outside. One day while Artista and Monet were outside, they ran into a very sad lizard.

Monet decided to ask the lizard why he was so sad. The lizard explained that he had been going for a walk and he forgot which route he needed to take to get home.

Artista felt sorry for the sad lizard but she wasn't sure how she could help him. She decided to ask the Lizard more questions about what had happened.

Artista and Monet invited the sad lizard into their house. Artista started by asking the lizard his name. The lizard said that his name was Lenny and that he had just left his home to find some bugs for everyone's dinner. Unfortunately, just as he left his home there was a huge thunderstorm. It rained so hard that he got carried away by a huge puddle. Lenny had been trying to find his way home ever since. He asked Monet and Artista if they could help him find his way back.
Lenny paused and thought deeply about his home. He missed it very much. "Will you help me?" Lenny asked. Artista and Monet knew that they had to do something. But there was one problem. Artista was afraid to leave her house and her yard. How could she possibly help Lenny when she had this fear? Monet was definitely braver. He was sure that he had a great plan that could help Lenny and maybe help Artista to face her own fears.

Monet had a great idea! He thought that Artista could make flyers using her computer and her art skills, that advertised a missing lizard named Lenny. Artista loved the idea. She knew that she could make a great poster and then make copies of it to distribute. Of course, there was only one problem, Artista was afraid to leave her house and yard. Monet told Artista not to worry that he would take the flyers around. Artista knew that Monet was very brave but that she would have to help.

Artista spent her time creating and printing posters of Lenny. She was ready to have them distributed to the community. Monet was happy that the posters were finally ready to be sent out. He grabbed the tape dispenser and was heading out the door.

Artista realized something. Not many people walked through the forest everyday. She knew that something else had to be done. Artista told Monet that even though she was scared, she knew that she had to go outside of her house and her yard if she was going to help Lenny.

Artista was amazed at all of the activity around her. She saw people walking dogs, skateboarding and driving by her. Monet was very excited to see so many people. He knew that the more posters that were given out, the more likely it was for Lenny to be recognized.

As the morning wore on, Monet, Lenny and Artista had passed out many posters. They were starting to get tired and had decided that they should head back and try again tomorrow. Just as they were about to leave, they met a few new friends. Monet, who was the braver of the three, stopped to ask them if they could help. A new lizard introduced himself.

The lizard said that his name was Lupe and that he actually recognized Lenny. This gave Monet, Artista and Lenny great hope. Lupe thought that he could join the group and pass out posters. When Lupe saw how creative the posters were he asked who had made them. Monet told Lupe that Artista was actually an artist and that she had made them herself.

After putting up all of the posters, Artista realized that they still needed more. She knew that it would take at least an hour to get back home and that then it would take time to make new posters. Monet had an idea. He knew that Artista always carried some art supplies in her pocket. Artista just needed to find something that she could use to draw on. In the corner of her eye, Artista noticed that one of their little friends had located a newspaper on the beach.
