Leo was a just a little cub. He loved to play and be with his friends, but there was one thing that made Leo different.... 

                                          Leo was afraid to roar. 

"What if I can't do it dad?" cried Leo. "You have one of the most frightening and loudest roars of all the lions."

His parents consoled Leo and gave him big hugs.  "Son, every lion can roar. You just have to be confident in yourself," said Leo's dad. 

"I guess I don't have any confidence", sighed Leo. "I'm just afraid my friends will make fun of me or won't want to be my friend anymore."

"Well if they are your real friends", said Leo's mom, "they would not make fun of you for your roar. But let us help you with that roar and your confidence!"

Leo's parents tried and tried to get him to roar but something was still holding Leo back... 

As the other little lions passed Leo as he was working with his parents to gain his confidence to roar, they began to laugh. The one lion called out, "you're just a little scardy cat Leo!"
