Baby Emma had a big dilemma.  Who ever heard of an elephant allergic to peanuts?  Baby Emma was an elephant with big pink ears that lived at the zoo with her family and friends.  

Baby Emma loved living at the zoo.  She loved playing in the grass, swinging on the tires, swimming with the penguins, and especially going to daycare with her friends.  

Emma and her friends, Timmy the Tiger, Lilly the Lion, Haley the Hippo, and Benny the Bear all loved going to daycare every morning.  Snack time was everyone's favorite part, except for Emma.

Emma did not like snack time like her friends did.  Emma did not like snack time because she did not eat much.  Emma was the only elephant in the whole zoo that was allergic to peanuts.  This made Emma sad.

After daycare, Emma and her friends went back to her habitat to see the visitors at the zoo.  Emma sat on her rock in the back when the visitors came.  They threw peanuts for the elephants to catch.  Emma cried seeing all the other elephants have fun.

One day after daycare, Emma thought of an idea.  She asked her friends, "Will you help me find a food I like so that I can enjoy snack time like you do?"  "Of course we will!" her friends shouted.

Will you help me?

Of course!

The next day, Emma's friends brought their favorite snacks to try.  Timmy brought his favorite, a strawberry.  "Emma, try this," Timmy said.  Emma took a bite and immediately spit it out.  "That is not the snack for me," Emma said.

Try this!

Next, Lilly brought her favorite snack, a banana, to try.  "I know you will like this," Lilly said.  Emma took a bite but sadly did not like the taste.  "I do not like that either," Emma said.
