“Bring! Bring!” my alarm clock rang. “Bring! Bring!” I reached over and slammed the stop button. “Five … More … Minutes” I mumbled drowsily. I rolled over and fell off my bed. Since when was my bed so small? I thought. I stood up and looked around. Wait a second. I thought. This isn’t my house! I ran over to the window and looked outside. It was snowing. It’s the middle on summer! I thought. What the heck is this? The forecast said 95 degrees today, not 22! I flung open the door to this strange house and stepped outside.
There were a couple fir trees and the ground was just snow. I dug through the snow until I reached the bottom and felt it. Hard wood. I ran as far as I could and smacked into a glass dome. I looked through and saw the inside of my neighbor’s snow globe closet. I turned around, shocked. I was trapped in a snow globe!
I realized I had to get out of this snowy prison. I decided I needed an escape plan. To start, I sized up the snow globe. Then I ran back into the house. I had just noticed that, outside of the house, the globe was filled with water. As soon as I opened the door to the house, about 3 gallons of water spilled in. I quickly slammed the door. I ran over to the other door in my bedroom and flung it open. A storage closet. Perfect.
As soon as I had shut the door, I began on the next part of creating my plan. I looked around the bedroom for paper. I found some papers under the bed. They were my old schoolwork that I had saved. They were contained in an airtight bin. I opened it and grabbed a handful of papers. I ran back to the storage closet and opened it. I grabbed my box of pencils. I got lucky. I thought My stuff is all still here. Except my bed. I found some tape and taped the work together. Then, I began to erase my work and started drawing up my plan.
