When the Transcontinental Railroad was being built, it was not easy at all for the people building it. 

It took a very long time to build and it took lots of brave men to build through the mountains since they had to mix chemicals to blow up the area in order to build the tracks.

While the Central Pacific Railroad was being built, the other side of the track was also being built. The Union Pacific (the other side of the track) had a much easier job since they built through flat plains. 

Once both sides of the track were done being built, they had to be connected. They got connected with a golden railroad spike. 

Once the Transcontinental Railroad has been built, it has helped Texas in many ways. Frisco used to only be able to deliver stuff to St. Louis Missouri. Now, they could deliver goods and stuff from Frisco all the way to the East and West coast.

Ever since the railroad has been built, Frisco started getting into a booming city. Many people moved to Frisco and this is where Frisco started growing.

The Frisco economy started blowing up and many stores and homes were built. Shawnee Trail went through Texas. It was a trail where longhorn were going to the North for Markets.
