- The Proclamation Line of
1763 was what the British call
the boundary line for the
colonist. They said the land
west of the Appalachian
Mountains was for the Native
Americans and they wouldn't
protect the colonist that went
into that area. This made the
colonist very angry because
they knew that it would let
the British have a bigger grip
on them.

-The colonists started realizing that the
british wanted full control of them and
they didn't like that. This is one of many
reasons that lead to the American
Revolution.
-If I was a colonist, I would have been
furious and like some of them. I would
have crossed the line and I would not have
been forced to be confided in one place like
that. I wouldn't stand up to the British just
yet, but it would always have been on my
mind.

The sugar acts was when
the british put three cent
tax on sugar. They also
banned the importation of
rum and French wines. If
you decided to try and
sneak some past them and
they found out, you would
be a dead man. The
consequences were a lot
worse after this.

This was the first instance that the colonist
wanted to stay in the government they had.
If I was a colonist, I would have been super
upset with them putting tax on things. I would
think they all ready had enough money without
them having to take more of ours.

The quartering act is when
the British put their soldiers
into the colonists home with
out their permission. The
British wanted them to
provide them with food and
other things. They thought
that this could be less
expensive. this made the
colonist very suspicious of
the real intentions for put
them in their homes.

The colonist were angry and they all
thought that the real reason for the
soldier's in there homes, was so the
British could keep eyes on them at all
times. They hated that, and were really
starting want to fight back.
If it was a colonist would would be not
allowed that to happen in my home. If
that meant execution then so be it
because I would have not let them rule
me like that.

The stamp act was when
the british required the
colonist to pay tax on all
printed and sent things.
The stamp was to show
that they really did pay
the tax. The colonist
were angry and they
boycotted all British
goods.

The colonist were starting to fell like their
freedom was completely gone. They felt
as if they were British property now. also
the parliament repealed the stamp act.
I agree completely with the colonist on
this one. I would have felt like there was
nothing left that was just mine. I would
be about to go over the edge.

The British once again
put tax on more items.
They taxed glass, lead,
paper, and tea. The
British had hoped the
colonist wouldn't notice
and just go along with it,
but they were wrong.
This angered the colonist
a lot and they were not
just going to let it
happen.

In response to the new taxation, the
colonist decided just to not buy any
British goods that had tax.
I would have done the exact same thing if
I was a colonist. we finally stood up to
them and I like that.

A mob of
colonists threw
snowballs at a
British troop
and in
response, they
fired back, but
with actual
guns. Five
colonist ended
up dieing.

The colonist said that was wrong of them
to fire back and as a result, the British
troops were removed from Boston.
If I was a colonist, I wouldn't have
thrown a snowball at the troops in the
first place, but I would have a say in the
removal of the troops. What they did was
just wrong and not right.

The Tea Act meant the
colonist could only buy
tea from British East
Indies. Because of
that, the colonist
attacked British ships
and smashed 340
chests of tea and
dumped it into the
ocean.
