If you ask most people what they think about 

math, they will say that it is stupid, boring, and 

doesn't matter. Those people are wrong, and 

will have a bad time later in life.

Let's take my friend Jason, as an example. 

Jason doesn't know the difference between 

linear and exponential growth.

 Jason invested in a high rate, simple interest 

account instead of a slightly lower rate, 

compound interest account, because it was 

simple. He saw that linear interest gave him 

more money in the first few months.

Jason lost out on a lot of money in his future. 

Jason should have paid more attention in his 

algebra class.

 My friend Karen does not know how to 

convert between units properly.

When Karen moved from Europe to America, 

she didn't know how to convert kilometers per 

hour to miles per hour. Karen doesn't 

understand why she keeps getting speeding 

tickets.

Karen should have payed more attention in 

her middle school math classes.
