Once there lived a girl named Lily.Lily lived in a small city and her house was small too but she was still happy.

One night she heard noises above her. They were coming from the attic. Lily was very scared but she did not do anything. Soon the sounds stopped and Lily went back to sleep.

The next morning she told her parents about the noises. they both looked very worried.'' It is nothing.'' they said, but their worried faces showed that there was something.Lily decided to check it out herself.

The next night Lily stayed awake but she did not hear the thumping again. Soon she fell asleep by listening to a beautiful voice from above singing a soothing lullaby.

The next morning she asked her father, ''Do ghosts sing ?'' ''There is no such thing as ghost. Nobody has ever seen a ghost and do not know that if there were ghosts would they sing or not.'' ,her father replied. Just then Lily's mother said that Jim would be coming to their house. Jim was Lily's best friend.
