I chose this picture, which is a doodle from the book to be the new cover because I think it represents the book better- the book is about Nikki and the school's Valentine's day dance, and in the picture, you can see Nikki in her prom dress. It gives more mystery- she got a dress but who is she going with?

“Dork Diaries Holiday Heartbreak” is the 6th book in a series called “Dork Diaries” which was written by Rachel Renée Russell. The series is about Nikki Maxwell, the school dork, she is 15 and has 2 best friends and a little sister. Nikki also has an enemy, the popular girl- Mackenzie, and they have a crush on the same boy- Brandon. In this book, Nikki's school has a Valentine's Day dance where the girls have to ask the guys to go to the dance. Nikki wants to ask Brandon to the dance, but Brandon is starting to act strange, and she is afraid that he doesn't want to go with her, or that he already goes with Mackenzie.

The main character – Nikki Maxwell

Nikki studies in WCD junior high school because her father is the school's exterminator. She is 15 years old, has brown hair and brown eyes. She has a little sister called Brianna and 2 best friends, Chloe and Zoey. Nikki is the school dork and has a crush on Brandon. She is friendly, funny, nice, creative, and sometimes over-dramatic. She likes to write, draw and doodle in her diary. She also likes to read, and even works at the school library with Chloe and Zoey. The popular girl, Mackenzie, is her enemy and she has to see her every day because their lockers are beside each other.
