Dear 5th graders, we bring you a story about a man who explored and learned many things about history on the way!

Hello, my name is David Noir, I'm here to tell you the story of my travels and what I learned on the way.

My first adventure was traveling the silk road. On the way I saw lots of people that were suffering from diseases and many who were praying to the God of Christianity. Everyone was wearing this smooth silky clothes. It was a Sunny and super hot day when I stopped at a stand and the guy was selling various items like Magnetic compass and a astrolabe. I noticed everyone's goal was the three g's god, glory, gold.

I asked him "Hey what's this compass thingy" he chuckled and said "It's a tool that shows you which way north and south is" in a confused look I replied "but it's just a needle floating in a pan?" I said. I ended up buying the compass that day and it went with me to all my journeys.

After traveling the silk road I went back to my home in spain. I heard about a man trying to get the King and Queen to give him money so he can travel the world and prove that you could get to India by traveling west. The man's name was Christopher Columbus. Christopher finally ended up getting the funds to go after begging the king and queen for a few years. He brought back news of finding new lands, which had snagged the interest of the monarchs.

Apparently Christopher pillaged and murdered throughout South America, which is bad even considering some of the atrocities that are considered normal. Apparently more people were being sent to Southern New World by the Spanish Government, their goal was to completely destroy some of the established governments there for riches and land. Following these events, I spent many years peacefully in Spain...
