At the resturaunt you eat a big meal. The meal makes you full very quickly, and you cant finish dessert. Why is that?
Whenever you eat anything, that takes a trip down the digestive system train. This has multiple stops, so lets get going!

Our first stop is the mouth, where everything begins. The mouth produces saliva to help the train tracks hold the train smoothly. The teeth help break down the food on the train. They use mechanical breakdown to get it to the right size to go down to the next station

Our second stop is the esophagus, which is the tunnel to the stomach. This helps the food get there quickly, so the stomach workers can do their job properly.

The third stop on this train is the stomach, which is the main breakdown point. If you thought the mouth broke down food into small pieces, wait till you see this! The stomach workers use acid to help break down the foods so they can go into the small spaces they need to be. The acid is an example of chemical breakdown.
Our fourth stop, is the small intestine. The track of the small intestine is covered in a digestive juice that takes the moisture off all the food on board. It also helps move down to the next station.
