February 08, 2021 - MONDAY
I got up late since I binge-watch some film trilogy last Sunday. Right after lunch, I decided to start decluttering my room. I came up with this wise decision since I realized that clutter do causes some physical and mental obstructions and distractions.
It's tough to stay organized and clean while we are busy and stress on our academic duties, so it is really delightful to finally have a time to clean up my room. I didn't hesitate to do it since I already experienced the undeniable benefits of cleaning.
After several hours of handling large piles of stuff, I finally witness a big difference from seeing a crowded area to having a more space and organized territory. Besides that, I also gain more space in my mind because I won't have so many visual cues that prompt anxiety, and stress that can easily drag me down. Lastly, I'll be able to breathe a lot easier since it attracts more fresh and clean air.
Indeed, decluttering is essential in our lives as it bring out positive effects on our mental state and overall wellness.
February 09, 2021 - TUESDAY
Today, I followed the plan I listed down on my notes last week. So, I decided to went to my best friend's house to catch-up, but before I left, I make sure to ask my friend's permission to go to her house and still follow all the necessary health protocols.
I felt like I am at my peak of happiness. I finally get to bond with them after a long time. It was such a joyful day for us. No doubt, friends don’t completely cure loneliness but they do help us during lonely times. We learn how to accept kindness and also to reach out when we need help.
One important thing that I realized in this time is that the very first step in sustaining our friendships in a pandemic is recognizing their importance. Yes, the global health crisis has changed the way we interact with our friends and loved ones, but that doesn't stop us to strengthen more our ties with them.
My takeaway for this special day is that genuine friendships are a blessing. The pandemic will end, eventually. And we will go back to our original places at least by fair means.
February 10, 2021 - WEDNESDAY
It was the middle day of the week. I decided to take a rest for the whole day perhaps because I want to spend our wellness break wisely and smartly. Later on, I also paired my resting time with some exercise since it's really been a while when my body got a tough work out.
So, I performed a series of sit-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks and squats. I did also some dance activity since it is also considered as a form of exercise. And as for me, I felt like dancing offers more upbeat and inventive fitness work-out like from the standards.
When I got to finished the day with exhaustion, mainly from the dancing and exercising stuff, besides from the fact that I am physically tired, what I have noticed is that it really did improve my mood and I felt like my day is so much worth-it with all of that I did.
Certainly, it is vital to consider the benefits of concentrated work-out of one's body. After all, each day is a new opportunity to engage in physical activity and exercise that can bring short and long-term benefits for mood, sleep, and physical health.
February 11, 2021 - THURSDAY
Today was the day that my other circle of friends planned to have a small get-together since today was one of our friends' birthday. I did not hesitate to go because I missed them a lot and as far as I know, our last assemble was wayback in our Senior High Graduation dated last 2019. So, it's really been a while.
And as for the routine, we didn't disregard any health standards and we make sure that we are entirely protected and safe all throughout the mini celebration.
Me and my other friends also planned a little surprise for our birthday celebrator. And luckily, we got her amazed. The gush of excitement and happiness was very evident from her face. It was all-worth it.
What I've realized from this situation is that moments in life are meant to be celebrated, be it birthdays, or any other special occasions. We understand it may be difficult to plan something during this pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you put on hold a person's special moment of their lives.
