The trials of war have left us blind and staggering

Hate still runs through the air

Only one thing can save us now

 And at that moment

A simple bird is born

No one knows where it came from

Most don’t even think it’s real 

All we know is that it paved the pathway so we can step into the light

Happiness is the kindness 

of a friend

the sound of a bird chirping

the love and peace

the color of the sky

a daisy sitting in a garden

your puppy kissing you

being yourself 

the light to darkest sun

the sweetness of candy 

the justice to good deeds

the leaves blowing 

in the wind.

And if happiness is 

all these things, 

then you should be the happiness to the world.
