Maria Skłodowska-Curie - Polish physicist and chemist. Twice- Nobel Prize winner.

Henryk Sienkiewicz - Polish novelist. He won the Nobal Prize for Literature in 1905 for lifetime achievement.

Władysław Reymont - Polish writer, prose writer and novelist. Nobel laureate for the four-volume "peasant epic" Chłopi.

Czesław Miłosz - Polish poet, prose writer, essayist, literary historian, translator, diplomat. He recived the avard for "uncompromising penetration in revealing the threat of man in the full richness of violent conflicts".

Lech Wałęsa - Polish politician and trade union activist, dissident, electrician by profession. In 1983 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In the years 1990–1995 he was the president of the Republic of Poland.

Józef Rotblat - Polish physicist of Jewish origin, radiobiologist, co-creator of the first atomic bomb. Laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995.

Wisława Szymborska - Polish poet, essayist, critic, translator, columnist.

Olga Tokarczuk - Polish writer, essayist, poet and screenwriter. 2018 Nobel Prize Winner for Literature
