Once upon a time there was a family of three. There was a mom, a dad, a 4 year old boy, and they were expecting a baby. They heard of a place called Michigan and decided to venture there to find a better life.

The family wrangled up a horse, a cow, and a bull to guide their travels. They also needed supplies in order to survive. What should the family bring? 

They brought food, water, an axe, a kettle, a pail, 3 blankets, a pair of winter boots for each, 2 extra pairs of clothing each, wood, spare wheels, flint, a Dutch oven, and 3 bowls.

For food the family brought corn, beans, rice, salt, and dry meat in the wagon.

After their long journey, the family ended in Springfield, Michigan. Springfield has an abundance of water and good land.
