What is Media Literacy?
Media literacy is a discipline developed for the correct interpretation of information produced by mass media and conveyed to readers / viewers.
One of the most important concepts that came into our lives with media literacy is the concept of critical monitoring. Watching TV programs, movies and commercials consciously constitutes the basis of this concept.
To be a good media literate;
1. Being aware of the time you spend in front of social media and television.
2. To perceive the messages given in the media correctly.
3. To pass the given message through the filter of logic, to be a beneficial citizen to its environment and country by reading it correctly.
4. To gain a critical point of view towards all media tools.
5. To understand the economic, political and social effects of mass media.
6. To gain the ability to evaluate the messages transmitted through internet, video, cinema, advertisement, television logically and to understand them correctly.
7. To gain the ability to participate in social life more effectively and consciously.
