Altın sarısı tüyleri güneşin altında parlıyordu. Ne temiz hayvandı şu ‘Recai’. Görenlerin bir daha dönüp baktığı tertemiz, besili bir kedicik. Kedicik dediğime bakmayın siz… Diğer sokak kedilerinin korkulu rüyasıdır kendisi. Bu mıntıka ona aittir. Kimse ondan habersiz yemez, içmez. Neredeyse mahallenin köpekleri bile korkar Recai’den.

His golden fur were shining in the sun. What a clean animal that ‘Recai ‘ was. A clean, fat cat  that those who saw look back on. However, it was also the nightmare of other cats. That district belonged to him. No one ate or drank without him knowing. Almost even the neighborhood dogs were afraid of Recai.

 Bu güzel görüntüsünün altında nasıl bir zorbanın yattığını insanlar anlamaz. Onu severler, ona yiyecek verirler. Ancak mahalledeki hayvan dostları bilir onun gerçek yüzünü.

İyi görünse de aslında diğer hayvanlara çok kötü davranan  bu kedi nasıl bu hale geldi sizce? Recai annesini hiç hatırlamaz.

People did not understand what a bully lied under this handsome image. They loved him, they gave him food. But his animal friends in the neighborhood knew his true face.

Çünkü annesinin sahibi, Recai’yi doğduktan bir hafta sonra arkadaşının yaramaz kızına vermiştir. Recai bu evde çok iyi bakım görmüştür. Evin tek kızının tek evcil hayvanı… Yediği önünde yemediği arkasında… Ancak gün gelip Recai büyüdüğünde ise kızın ona olan ilgisi azalmaya başlamıştır. Bu yaramaz kız çocuğu sadece yavru kedileri sevmektedir. Recai ise artık büyümüş ve yetişkin bir erkek kedi olmuştur.

Because his mother’s owner gave Recai to his friend’s mischievous daughter a week after he was born. Recai was very well cared for in that house. The only pet of the only daughter in the house… However; when Recai grew up, the owner’s interest in Recai began to vanish. This naughty girl only loved kittens. Recai, on the other hand, was grown up and became an adult male cat.

Sahibi olan kız ona bakmak istemez. Sorumsuzluk etmeye başlar. Kızın anne ve babası ise en başından beri Recai’yi istememişlerdir. Sonuçta boşa masraf… Gel zaman git zaman Recai iyi bakılmadığından git gide zayıflamış ve biraz da çirkinleşmiştir. Kız artık onu evde görmez istemez. Bir gün ailece gittikleri piknik yolunda Recai’yi yol kenarında bırakıp kaçarlar.

His owner doesn’t want to look after him anymore Moreover; the girl’s parents didn’t want Recai from the beginning. After all, it was a waste of time according to the parents. As time passed, Recai became weaker and a little ugly because it was looked after well. His owner doesn’t want to see him at home anymore. 

One day, they leave Recai on the side of the road on the picnic road they went to as a family and then they ran away. 

Bu durum Recai’yi bunalıma sürükler. Sokakta yaşamaya hiç alışık değildir. Bir kaç gün yiyecek bulamaz ve daha da zayıflar. Yürür, yürür, yürür… En sonunda bugün kralı olduğu bu mahalleyi bulur. Burada insanların çöpleri yemek doludur. Recai görür görmez yiyeceklere saldırır. Mahallenin kedileri ise onu hırpalamak ister. Yiyeceklerini paylaşmak istemezler. Ancak Recai kalan son gücüyle öyle bir savaşır ki diğer kediler ondan korkar.

This caused Recai to become depressed. He’d never used to living on the street. He couldn’t find food for a few days, and he got weaker. He walked, he walked, he walked … He finally found that neighborhood of which he was the king at that time. Here, people’s garbage was full of food. As soon as Recai saw it, he ran to the food. The other cats in the neighborhood want to beat him up. They didn’t want to share their food. However; Recai fought so hard with his last remaining power that the other cats were afraid of him.

Durumu anlayan Recai hiç geri adım atmaz. Gücünü kaybetmemek için kimseye merhamet etmez. Her gün daha da kötü davranır. Zaman geçtikçe tüm kediler hatta mahalledeki tüm hayvanlar onun gücünü kabul ederler. Recai beslendikçe daha güç kazanır ve güzelleşir. Bu güzelliği ile saygınlığı da artar. Kısacası bu kötü huylu kedinin böyle davranmasının sebebi önce çok sevilip sonra terk edilmesidir. Çok korkar tekrar aynı güçsüzlüğe düşmekten.

Recai, who understood the situation, never stepped back. He didn’t have mercy on anyone so as not to lose his power. He behaved worse every day. As time passed, all the cats, even all the animals in the neighborhood accepted his power. As Recai ate food, it became stronger and more handsome. With this beauty, his reputation also increased. In short, the reason why he behaved so was the fact that it was first very loved and then was abandoned. He’s so afraid of falling into the same weakness again.

Recai mahallesinde fırtınalar estirmeye devam ettiği bir vakitte gece turuna çıkar. Mahallede ne var ne yok kontrol etmeden gözüne uyku girmez çünkü. Çöp tenekelerinin olduğu köşeye gelince bir tıkırtı duyar. İçinden bir an ürkse de belli etmez tabii. Hemen hırlar.  Tıkırtı daha da şiddetlenmiştir. Recai usul usul tenekelerin yanına yaklaşır. Bir anda garip bir cisim 2-3 metre havaya fırlar.

At one night, he went on a street tour because he could not sleep without checking everything in the neighborhood. When he came to the corner where the trash cans were, he heard a click. Even if he’s scared for a moment, he did not show it. He growled immediately. The clickes got louder and louder. Recai gently approached the cans. Then, a strange object jumped 2-3 meters into the air.

Altından yeşil ışıklar çıkmaktadır. Recai çok korkar, tırnaklarını çıkarır. O yuvarlak cisim ise artık kırmızı ışık saçmaktadır. Yavaş yavaş aşağı doğru süzülür. Recai kaçmak ister ama gururuna yediremez. Sanki donar kalır oracıkta. Kaçsam mahalledekilerin dilinden kurtulamam diye düşünür. Eski gücünü kaybedeceğine ve rezil olacağına inanır.

Green lights came out of the object. Recai was so scared, he pulled out his nails. Then, that round object emitted red light. It slowly floated down. Recai wanted to escape, but he could not move at all. It’s like he’s frozen right there. He though if he ran away, h wouldn’t get rid of the rumor and jokes in the neighborhood. He believed that he would lose his power and become disgraced.

O bunları düşünürken tuhaf cisim iyice Recai’ye doğru yaklaşır. Bir anda kırmızı ışıkların şiddeti artar. Işıklarla birlikte bir rüzgar sanki Recai’yi cismin içine doğru çeker. Tırnakları ile yere tutunmaya çalışsa da Recai’nin gücü tükenir ve o tuhaf cismin içinde bulur kendini. Karşısında yeşil kafalı 2 garip yaratık vardır. Hem kediye benzemektedir bunlar hem de köpeğe. Biraz da balığa sanki… Recai’nin kafası karışır. Korkudan kendinden geçer…

As he thought about it, the strange object approached Recai. The intensity of red lights increased. A wind with that light pulled Recai into the strange object. Although he tried to hold on to the ground with his nails, Recai’s power ran out and he found himself inside this strange object. There were two strange creatures with green heads. They looked like cats and dogs and a little bit like fish… Recai got confused. He passed out in fear.

Sanki aradan yıllar geçmiş gibi hisseder Recai gözlerini açtığında. Tam da açamaz aslında gözlerini. Etrafındaki ışık çok güçlüdür. Gözlerini kısarak bakar etrafa. O da ne? kafasında bir fanus var. Etrafında bir sürü kablo… Çıkarmak ister ama başaramaz. Debelenir, uğraşır ama boşuna… Sonra bayılmadan önce gördüğü yüzleri görür karşısında. İçlerinden biri ona:

It felt like years had passed when Recai opened his eyes. Actually, he could not open his eyes. The light around  was very strong. He squinted and looked around. What was that? There was a fanus on his head. He wanted to pull out a bunch of wires around him, but he couldn’t. He struggled, he tried, but in vain… And then, he saw the faces he had seen before. One of them said:

-“Korkma. Burası CATLOG. Gezegenimize hoş geldin.” der

Recai kızgın bir şekilde: “Çıkarın şu aptal şeyi kafamdan! Beni rahat bırakın diye bağırır.” Aldığı karşılık ise şöyledir:

-“Sakin ol! Yoksa bedelini ödersin! Artık bu gezegende yaşayacaksın. Geri dönüş yok. Burası Catlog. Burada her hayvan türünden bir tane bulunur. Hatta sizin dünyanızda olmayan pek hayvan vardır burada. Seni onlarla tanıştıracağız. Bir süredir seni izliyoruz. Burada yiyecek sıkıntısı yoktur. 

-“Don’t be afraid. This is CATLOG. Welcome to our planet.”

Recai angrily said: “Get that stupid thing out of my head!”

The response he received was:

”Calm down! Don’t worry! Now you will live on this planet. There’s no turning back. This is Catlog. Here there is one of each animal species. In fact, there are many animals here that do not exist in the Earth. We’ll introduce you to them. We’ve been watching you for a while. There is no shortage of food here.

 Burada hayvanları tekmeleyen, onlara zarar veren insanoğlu yoktur. Burası hayvanların gezegendir. Bu gezegenin ilk hayvanı bir kedi olduğundan ismini ondan almıştır. Dünyadaki halinin aksine burada pek çok arkadaşın olacak”

Recai merakla sorar: “Nasıl yiyecek sıkıntısı olmaz? Biz dünyada yiyecek için insanların çöplerini karıştırırız.
