Mia ailesiyle zaman geçirmeyi seven, hem çok düşünceli hem de bir o kadar hareketli ve kıpır kıpır bir kız… Bu aralar ders notlarında bir düşme vardı ve ailesi bu konuda biraz baskı yapıyordu. Mia üzülünce hemen kendini hayallere bırakırdı. Hayal dünyasında her şeyi istediği gibi düşünebilirdi. Hayallerinde kıyaslanmak, azarlanmak yoktu. 

Mia is a very thoughtful and a little naughty girl who likes spending time with her family… There has been a drop in her exam results lately, and her family has been putting a little pressure on her. When Mia got upset, she immediately let herself dream. In her dream world, she could think everything the way she wanted. In dreams, there was no comparison, no scolding.

Hayallerde mutluluk, güven, sevgi vardı. Mia tüm arkadaşlarını çok seviyordu ama annesi onu sık sık Melis ile kıyaslardı. Bu nedenle Mia bazen Melis’e kızardı. Neden bu kadar çalışkan ve mükemmeldi ki? O da oynasa, zıplasa, yaramazlık yapsa, ders çalışmasa her gün olmaz mıydı?

There was happiness, trust, and love in dreams. Mia loved all her friends, but her mother often compared Mia with Melis. That’s why Mia sometimes got angry with Melis. Why was she so hardworking and perfect? Wouldn’t it be nice if she played, jumped, misbehaved, didn’t study every day?

Mia tüm bunları düşünürken yatağının üstünde kıvrılıp uyuyakalmıştı. Kısa bir süre sonra çok tuhaf sesler duydu. Önce rüya sandı ama gözlerini açtı ve sesler gelmeye devam ediyordu. Önce korkarak yatağının altına baktı ancak orada farklı bir şey görünmüyordu.

Mia curled up on her bed and fell asleep thinking about all this. Soon after, she heard some very strange noises. At first, she thought it was a dream, but she opened her eyes and the voices kept coming. She looked under her bed in fear, but there was nothing different.

In a sleepy mood, she walked towards the windows. She was calling out to her mother, but no one could hear her voice. She opened the curtain and screamed at the same time! ‘Mummy!’ She was very surprised. It was so different from the usual scene.  Even the color of the Earth was different. There were tiny little round creatures in front of the glass. That strange sound was coming from them. Mia was so scared.

Çünkü gözleri göbeklerinin üstündeydi. Kulakları ise ayaklarının olması gereken yerdeydi. Mia hayallerinde bile böylesini düşünmemişti. Ağızlarına baktı. Kafalarının tam ortasında, alınlarındaydı. Mia korkarak camı açtı. Camı açmasıyla uçarak dışarı süzülmesi bir oldu. Mia hayallerinde hep uçtuğunu düşünürdü.

because their eyes were on their bellies; their ears were where the feet should be. Mia didn’t even think of such things in her dreams. She looked at their mouths. It was right in the middle of their heads, on their foreheads. Mia opened the window in fear. She opened the window and flew out. Mia always thought she was flying in her dreams.

Kendini uçarken düşünmek onu rahatlatırdı. Şimdi gerçekten uçabiliyordu. Önce biraz korktu ama sonra kendini rahatlamış hissetti. Çünkü biraz önce camın önünde duran o yaratıklar da yanında uçuyordu. Uçarken de Mia’ya bakıp gülümsüyorlardı. Mia gülmenin gücünü düşündü. O da gülümsedi onlara. Anladı ki bu yaratıklardan Mia’ya bir zarar gelmeyecek. Kendini daha da rahatlamış hissetti. 

It would comfort him to think of himself flying. Now he could really fly. At first she was a little scared, but then she felt relieved, because those creatures that were just standing in front of the window were flying next to her. And as they flew, they looked at Mia and smiled. Mia thought about the power of a smile. Then, she smiled at them, too. She realized that no harm would come to Mia from these creatures. She felt even more relaxed.

Mia’ya bir cesaret geldi ve hep hayallerinde olduğu gibi uçarken bir takla attı. Yaratıklar yüksek sesle güldü ve onlar da aynısını yaptılar. Hiç konuşmadan arkadaş olmuşlardı sanki. Bir süre sonra bembeyaz bir kapının önüne geldiler. Kapı sanki ışıktantı. Mia yine korktu. Yaratıklar bir bir o kapıdan geçtiler süzülerek. Mia yapamadı. 

Mia had a dare and took a tumble as she flew, as she always dreamed. The creatures laugh at her and they did the same. As if they had become friends without talking. After a while, they came to a white door. The door was like a light. Mia’s scared again. The creatures glided through that door one by one. Mia couldn’t. 

Sanki yapamayacaktı… Odasına dönmek istedi. Geriye dönüp baktı ama o da ne? Evi odası orada değildi. Göremiyordu hiç bir şeyi.

Bir an gözlerini kapattı ve o da ışıktan kapıdan süzülerek geçti. Misler gibi bir koku sardı etrafı. Annesinin yemesine izin vermediği renkli jelibonların kokusuna benziyordu. Mia ağzını açtı. 

 She wanted to go back to her room. She looked back, but what is that? Her house, her room wasn’t there. She couldn’t see anything.

She closed her eyes for a moment, and she glided through the door through the light. That place was filled with a great smell . It was like the smell of colored jelly beans that his mother wouldn’t let her eat. Mia opened her mouth. 

Garip sesler çıkardı. Bu kendi dili değildi. Sanki konuşan o değildi. Ama oluyordu işte. Konuşuyordu. Tuhaf sesler çıkararak nerede olduğunu sordu karşısında duran kocaman sarı renkli yaratığa. Sanki oradaki tüm yaratıkların annesi gibiydi. Çok büyüktü ve gözleri şefkat dolu idi. Mia hiç çaba sarf etmeden Hagacuka ile konuşuyordu. Hagacuka… Gezegene ismini veren yüce Hagacuka… 

She made strange noises. It wasn’t her own language. As if she wasn’t talking, but it was happening: she was talking. She made strange noises and asked where she was, to the huge yellow creature standing in front of him. She was like the mother of all the creatures there. She was so big and her eyes were full of compassion. Mia was talking to Hagacuka without any effort. Hagacuka … The great Hagacuka, who gave the planet its name…

Tüm gezegenin şefkatli annesi… Mia’nın kafasında her şey yerli yerine oturuyordu. Sordukça aklına daha fazla soru geliyordu ve aldığı her cevapta daha da rahatlıyor ve kendini bu gezegene ait hissediyordu. Hagacuka’nın anlattıkları sanki bir müzik gibi tüm ruhunda dolanıyordu. 

The compassionate mother of the entire planet … Everything fell into place in Mia’s head. The more she asked, the more questions came to her mind, and with every answer she received, she became more relaxed and felt like she belonged on this planet. Hagacuka’s story wandered all over her soul like music.

Bu gezegen…. Hagacuka gezegeni… Sevgi bulutundan oluşan, nefrete kine yer veremeyen, adalet ve barışın hüküm sürdüğü yer… Burada kimse birbiri ile kıyaslanmazdı. Herkes başarılıydı ve mutluydu. Başarısızlık diye bir şey yoktu çünkü bu gezegende. Çirkin ne demek kimse bilmiyordu. Zihinler tertemizde. Yani gönüller de temiz bakıyor ve güzel görüyordu.

This planet…. The planet Hagacuka … A cloud of love, unable to place hatred, where justice and peace prevail… No one is compared to each other here. Everyone is successful and happy. There is no such thing as failure on this planet. No one knows what ugly means. Minds are clean. Hearts also look clean and see what is nice.
