Watching David Lynch's films and series makes me wonder of my unconscious minds providing irrational images that I can't even explain
Observing this scene of Lynch's Blue Velvet movie makes me think of events, stories I dream about that isn't even correlate to my conscious mind. I may not think about particular topic, but suddenly it appears in my sweet , sweet dreams. It's weird , isn't it?
This association of realms of dreams which is surrealism was a 20th century movement with the influence of Freud's PsychoAnalysis theory. Surrealism pointed out to revolutionise human experience, rejecting a rational thinking in favour of dreams. This movement favors poets and painters or artists to explore magic of our subconscious mind and unconventional beauty of it.
In favor of rational thinking, we intend to neglect the beauty of dreams . We are deprive of holistic human experience. Its cosmological importance such as prophesy was diminished in the present age but its power as an artistic human experience was still there
The blurredness of the picture speaks how vague to understand our dreams are. Like We can't explained how we transport from one place to another . This sophistication of its form to understand was part of human experience.
Recently, with my decision to watch Lynchian films, I understand and feel the importance of dreams . I recently understand that dreams shout not be neglect because it provides holistic human experience on aesthetics and artistry.
Life is weird.......
we can't even explained or understand it through rational thinking......... Goodbye :)
