Every week, she needs to think of and choose the best decision as she encounters certain difficulties in her life.

PROLOGUE

Kate, do you know anyone who I can borrow 20,000 pesos?

I need it for my operation. A cyst in my underarm is getting bigger so the doctor told me to have it operated so it won’t infect anymore. I also need it for biopsy.

I don’t know any lender, mom. Why do you need such a big amount of money?

We need money. I need to find a solution to help for my mom’s medication...

Still a third year undergraduate student who is studying Bachelor in Social Science Education in Philippine Normal University, Erica Kate Catubag is beginning to face hardships in her way to become an educator. Will she be able to continue walking the path to achieving her chosen career or every decision that will be chosen will lead her to the opposite path where the end is unknown?

Actually, I’m still weighing the advantages and disadvantages. That’s why I asked you so I would be able to prepare when I decided to apply.

The next day...

Ate Amor, will it be okay for you to go home alone? I’m planning on staying and applying a job here so I can help my mom with finances for her medication.

Did grandma already know this decision of yours? Kate, you know that I will be blamed if something happened to you here because I tagged you along, right? You also know that I can’t travel alone because of my condition. If you really want to work here, then you can come back if you want. In that way, you will be able to personally tell grandma about your situation and get your other things there. I will pay for your travel fee.

I think that is a better way, I will go home with you and come back here, then. When are we going home, by the way?

If my work here is done, we can probably go home next week.

Looking at how Kate were able to make a decision, it was influenced by Amor’s questions. In this situation, the Socratic method was shown because Amor’s questions made a big impact to the decision of Kate. Because of these questions, Amor was able to convince Kate to change her decision and go home with her instead. 

Now that Kate decided to go home, will she be able to come back, or stay home instead?

It was Tuesday morning when Kate arrived at her hometown.
