It was a dreary rainy day, and Nancy felt like there was nothing to do.

She looked out the window and was hoping that the sky would clear up. She wanted all of this rain to go away.

I just want to go outside and play with my friends!

When Nancy realizes that the rain is not going away, tears begin to roll down her face. She begins to cry uncontrollably.  

Nancy goes to her mom for comfort. 

Mom, I don't know what to do! I can't go outside to play because it is raining out!

Don't worry, there is plenty to do even on a rainy day! Drawing or painting is a great activity that I think you would really enjoy!

After Nancy spends time talking to her mom, she realizes that this rainy day isn't going to be so bad after all. 

Nancy and her mom take a quick trip to the store to gather all the materials that they need: paint, paintbrushes, and paper.

After the quick trip to the store, Nancy is eager to begin painting. She has a big smile on her face.
