The Russian Revolution is a political, social and economic movement that broke out in 1917 in the Russian Empire. This episode, due to the momentous consequences derived from it, is considered one of the greatest events
of contemporary times.

The consequence was the collapse of the "dynasty of the Tsars", heirs of the
Roman emperors, which meant the abolition of the absolutist and despotic system that had prevailed until then. The revolution brought with it as a result, a communist-style government led by Vladimir Lenin.
The consequences that motivated the Russian Revolution were:
1. Russia was at war with Germany it was the First World War, then called "the Great War". The constant defeats that the Russian armies were suffering in
the war and the numerous casualties,
led to the discredit of the Romanovs "the last Tsarist dynasty", with
Nicholas II at the head.
2. Russia was suffering an acute economic crisis, with a shortage of food for the population, which suffered a terrible famine, it was an eminently rural and backward country. The social organization of Russia was based on the most absolute inequality, distinguishing two well-defined social classes, the nobility and the common people, almost all peasants. There was practically no middle class.
The February and October revolutions, which actually occurred in March and November, since Russia was governed by the Julian calendar instead of the Gregorian, just like the rest of the world.
The one in February began with a spontaneous strike by workers at the capital's factory. The following days, strikes and demonstrations were generalized throughout Petrogado and the tension was increasing and the demonstrations were increasingly massive.
After a while, freedom of the press and assembly were decreed, and political exiles were allowed to enter, including the entry of the revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, who lived in exile.
