A Little History

Known as Halicarnassus in antiquity, people suppose that it was built in the fifth-century by Carians. In 1452 it officially joined the Ottoman borders. After the 1970s it improved and became an important place for tourism. Before anyone else, artists who want to be in a chill and happy place choose Bodrum. Nowadays it is one of the best place for tourism and fun in Turkey...

Income Sources

In Bodrum, you have so many choices about that topic. I listed the most popular ones. 

Tourism Sector:

Like I said. Bodrum is an important place for tourism in Turkey. Especially in summer. Bodrum’s population increases by about a million with tourists. This sector is one of the best choices.

Handmade Traditional Foods:

Bodrum’s traditional foods are good as well as the places. Bodrum organizes the Olive Festival every year. People sell and cook foods, soap, olive oil, and other stuff about olive. On the other hand, you can just rent or buy a little place to open your own restaurant. If you have a cooking skill, you will be Gordon Ramsay of Bodrum :)

Real Estate:

Most people who live in big cities like Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, etc. are moving to Bodrum because of Corona Virus. So they need a place to stay. If you have a license for estate, you can choose it.

Social Activities

Bodrum is a peninsula but you have so many choices for a peninsula. There are some examples that I suggest you:

-Enjoy The Beach:

 The most wonderful side of the Bodrum is the beaches. You can just read your book in front of the beach and enjoy the peace or you may go to beach clubs and have fun. 

-Visit Museums: 

You can see many museums on your map. Mausoleum, Underwater Archeology, Ancient Theater or most important one for me Bodrum Castle. 

If you like music I suggest you visit  Zeki Müren’s House. You can ask “Who is he?”. He is known as the Sun Of Art in Turkey. When we look at his life, we can see that. In his house, it has his accessories, trophies, vinyls, costumes, and many more. As you can see in the pictures. Also, the price of the entrance tickets donates to a foundation.
