Zander, the Gen-Z zebra, had three things he loved the most in the world: Honey Bunches of Oats, his pink fuzzy blanket, and his aunt, Mandy, the millennial meerkat.

“Mandy, you’re finally home!” Zander would yell as he jumped into her arms every day when she returned home from work. He knew she needed this after a long day at that job she hated.
Zander was a very observant boy. He had noticed her sunken shoulders and frown every time she spoke of work.

And he didn’t like her job much either. Ever since she began there she’d always have to do extra work at home and could never go on day trips to the mall or the beach with Zander like she used to.

Finally, one day, Mandy came home from work with a grin.
“I got a new job— and this time it won’t be so bad,” she said. “I told them right away that I want a flexible work schedule, so they’re letting me choose my hours are as long as I get the work done in the day. And, I can choose whether to go to the office or work from home.”

And on Mandy’s second week at her new job, she brought Zander to come to see it. There were no cubicles. Instead, it was all open space, with big plants. And wrapping around the cafeteria, there was a walking track so everyone could stay active.
