"This is dedicated to the people who think true love exist and being with that special someone for the rest of their life:)."

It was at that moment that I knew there was nothing more I could do. No matter how hard I fought to change her fate, she was dying, and I couldn’t save her. I’d spent my entire life looking for her, and then I spent the rest of my life loving her. In as much time as I’d spent looking for her, I loved her before losing her. When I found her, I fell in love instantly. You see, we met when she was twenty-seven and I was thirty-two. I’d spent most of my life surrounded by friends of all types, always the guy that women could rely on and trust but not fall for romantically. Until I was thirty-two, I was always the friend and never the boyfriend. When I met Savannah, I knew immediately that I’d found the person I’d been searching for all along. We met at a party, where the music and drinks did the talking but our connection was undeniable. Her sparkling green eyes looked up at me, accompanied by a smile that seemed to consume her whole face.
She laughed the entire time we were together, and I knew I wanted to hear that laughter for the rest of my life. I swore to her that night that I would never let anything bad happen to her for as long as she would allow me to be in her life. I never expected, when I made that promise to her that night, that her life would be cut short. She was the dream I’d dreamt of a thousand nights over come true. We married a year later when she was twenty-eight and I was thirty-three. We had three beautiful daughters in the following years, and every day I watched them grow flawlessly into happy, intelligent women alongside their incredible mother. They turned into amazing young adults before my eyes. Despite their age, these girls would always be my children and letting them know that the promise I’d kept to their mother for thirty years was no longer possible seemed to be an impossible task.
