SEYİT ULUGÜLYAĞCI IMAM HATIP SECONDARY SCHOOL HISTORY

Rebii Karatekin Imam Hatip Secondary School started its educational activities in the 2015-2016 academic year. It was moved to its new address with the approval of the Governor's Office on 05/08/2019 and the name of the school was changed to Seyit Ulugülyağcı Imam Hatip Secondary School.

Seyit Ulugülyağcı and his family, whose name was given to our school, were left under the rubble after the demolition of the Zümrüt apartment building on February 2, 2004, where they went to visit the Eid-al-Adha holiday. 92 people lost their lives. Feriha Ulugülyağcı, who survived with severe injuries from the wreckage, decided to build a school in order to keep the memory of her husband and family alive, and she had the present school built.
