They say that an idle mind is the devil's workshop. 

On the highest tendency, when I am not busy doing academic tasks or business transaction my mind will think on many things such as frustrations, scarcity, deadlines, commitments, and many more.

Seems like a mountain being smashed by relentless waves of the sea under a full moon. It never gets silent.

But then I came across to what Rick Warren has said on the difference between murmuring and meditation.  

In simple terms, meditation is simply thinking on the positive things (solution) and murmuring is worrying on the negative things (problems).

This spoke volume. 

I come to think of it as if my mind is like the clouds. It can be dark and low just like when there's a thunderstorm, but it can be as peaceful like the morning after the rain. Rainbow is a bonus.

Then I understood that it is my responsibility to keep my mind healthy just like a thriving forest showered by rain after a drought. It is about a value that puts premium on holistic health but focusing more on the mental aspect in this case. 

That is why I had decided to read a book. Honestly reading is already a part of my life, I'm doing it daily but the focus is on economics, sciences, philosophy, and finances. But this time, I promised myself to read a self-help book that will help me cultivate good thoughts and good habits.

I want my mind to be a forest wherein I can organically cultivate good thoughts that will give birth to good actions that will yield greater outcomes. It should not be a devil's workshop but a workshop of dreams being realized in the process.
