WEEK 8
IT HURTS
The main highlight of this week would be my experience in revising our lesson plan for our upcoming demo teaching. The lesson planning and demo teaching are by partners, so we revised our lesson plan in preparation for consultation before proceeding to the demonstration. But during the preparation, my partner and I had a minor clash that measures our friendship. I think we did not fight because of the lesson plan itself but because of our situations. She and I experienced an exhausting day at that time, so I guess the situation catches us. But thankfully, we surpassed that phase, and now we are on good terms; we finished our lesson plan and consultation, and now we are preparing for our demonstration teaching. One thing for sure, we will journey more together.
My learning here is that we should not allow our emotions to dominate us. We must be considerate of others' situations. If I have a bad day, they might have as well. We always must watch our words, actions, and emotions because we might hurt someone we love. If we already hurt them, no matter the cause or reasons behind it, even it is intentional or not, it will not change the fact that we hurt them. The truth is we are the drivers ourselves, so if we did something, either good or bad, we are accountable and need to face the consequences of it. Instead of dealing with them and risking our relationship with that person, it is better not to speak, isolate, and calm yourself than meet them the next day. Do not do things that you will regret in the future.
