  L.o To solve problems on the theme Jungle book, using the concept of numbers up to three decimal places.

Today we are going to reinforce the topic decimals with mowgli and his friends in the jungle.

Q.1 . Tabaqui came to meet Shere Khan to discuss about attacking Mowgli and he has the following digit cards. He asked Shere Khan to make a largest and smallest decimal number.

What is the largest 3 digit decimal number can he make - 7.320

What is the smallest - 0.237

Q.2 Mowgli and baloo are playing a game about addition and baloo can't solve a puzzle but he has some clues.

Q2. Mowgli and his father went for shopping. Father had £54.69 in his purse. They bought a new pencil case for £2.98, a box of chocolates for £4.50, a mango Juice for 65p and a sandwich for £2.75. Father asked Mowgli to find the total and balance amount .

14 meerkats are foraging for food. An eagle flies over and seven run away. How many are left?

Ans. 7 meerkats.

A herd of elephants join with another herd of 5 elephants. How many are there in total?

Ans. 16 herds of elephants.

there are 17 wildebeest on the plane. 9 wildebeest left away. How many are left?

Ans. 8 wildebeest.

1. On Sunday, mowgli spent 86 minutes on collecting fruits and 37 minutes in fetching water. On Tuesday, he spent 69 minutes for playing. What calculations will you use to find the difference between the time spent on Sunday and Tuesday by mowgli.

Ans. 86 + 37 = 123

                       - 69 = 54 min difference

Ans. 11 fishes

1. Mowgli and his friends eat 334 mangoes and 127 bananas in a day.How many goal fruits they ate round it to nearest 10 or 100.

Ans, 461 fruits in total- nearest 10: 460 nearest 100: 500

Ans. 375- nearest 10: 380 nearest 100: 400

Nearest 10: 230 miles

nearest 100: 200 miles
