DEDICATION
I would like to dedicate this journal to my safe havens that kept me sane in this godforsaken situation. To the numerous mangas and animes that I have read and watched, I dedicate this to you for making this lock down bearable.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Carl Francisco, a 21 years old Social Science student from Philippine Normal University - Manila, is the author of this journal. There is no other reason why he chose education as his course other than his interest in speaking in front of people and educating them about social issues. He aspires to impart knowledge in every place he will go to because he value wisdom over anything else.
His hobbies are watching anime series, reading manga, and watching sitcoms series. Aside from these, Carl is into psychological thriller films and films that reflects our society because he believes that this is one of the many mediums where we can enlighten our countrymen regarding societal issues in an entertaining yet educational way.
WEEKLY JOURNAL #9
This week, for the first time, I conducted a demonstration teaching that is far related in my current major. In our elective subject, which is values education, I discussed the 3 types of friendships according to Aristotle. As a Social Science Student, this is a great challenge for me since we are not trained to highlight the value in our lessons, but rather stimulate discourse.
Despite teaching something different and being used to argumentative type of discussion, I managed to pass my demo teaching with the help of my professor.
THEORETICAL APPLICATION
EXPERIENTIAL
LEARNING
Kolb's theory of experiential learning includes learning as a whole process. All stages can be included throughout the experiences. One good example is my demo teaching about values education that may be both a concrete and an abstract experience, based on how the learner interacts with it.
This was a great opportunity for me to be exposed to different disciplines that requires a very different approach to the learners. During the process, I am learning about what I can do next to improve my method while doing it at the same time. My progress is continuous and adaptive.
