Long ago, a young boy and his family were out camping. As they settled down for the evening, the young boy looked to the sky. 

Right before the boy went to bed, he looked up and saw a shooting star. The boy remembered hearing stories of shooting stars granting wishes. He closed his eyes and thought about what he wanted most.

There are so many things that came to his mind. A new toy truck, a trampoline, or maybe a scooter. However, a puppy is what the boy wanted most. The best puppy in the whole wide world. 

As he looked up at the star, the boy said, "Oh star, oh star, my wish to you, where ever you are, is for a puppy to warm my heart." After watching the star for a moment longer, he went off to bed. Dreaming of a puppy to play with and cuddle.

The next morning, the boy and his family went for a walk in the woods. Suddenly, there was a rustling in the near by brush. As they approached the brush, the rustling stopped.

Without warning, something leaped from the brush and collided with the boy. It was a lost puppy! The boy's wish was heard by the star!

After begging and pleading, the boy's parents decided that they would keep the puppy. The boy and the puppy became best friends. He never saw the wishing star again after receiving his wish. However, the boy had everything he wanted.
