- My thanks and admiration go to Greta Thunberg, a young woman with asperger's disease from Sweden who protests worldwide with other young people, demanding better measures from governments to fight against climate change and she invites people to become aware of how we are destroying our planet.
- We must be more like Greta and fight to take better care of our planet because at the end of the day we are the ones to blame for the fact that the earth is in worse conditions every day, we must fight to protect our planet, we must improve our lifestyle and we must be better human beings.

Deforestation
Effects : Trees help regulate the climate by absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere. When they are cut down, this beneficial effect is lost and the carbon stored in the trees is released into the atmosphere, aggravating the greenhouse effect. Reforestation results in serious habitat damage, loss of biodiversity and aridity. It has an adverse impact on carbon dioxide (CO2) fixation. Deforested regions are prone to soil erosion and are often degraded to non-productive land.
Solutions
- Carry out massive campaigns demanding the planting of trees and generate legal articles that go against the burning of forests, cutting down trees in vain since forests help regulate hydrological cycles and reduce the effects of floods and droughts, experts say.
- Protected areas or areas of greater ecological value should be planned in a differential manner. That is to say, to assign as protected areas those places with species and ecosystems that society has considered important to conserve.
Population Growth
Effects : The main driving force of global environmental change, as it constitutes a pressure to occupy more and more space, exploit more resources, produce more food, consume more water, pollute more, use more energy and emit more greenhouse gases.
Solutions
- Promoting family planning by educating men and women about contraception can have a major impact. When Iran introduced a national family planning program in 1989, its fertility rate fell from 5.6 births per woman to 2.6 in a decade. A similar effort in Rwanda saw a threefold increase in contraceptive use in just five years.
- Empowering women, studies show that women with access to reproductive health services are more likely to escape poverty, while those who work are more likely to use a contraceptive method.
Fossil fuel combustion
Effects : The combustion of this type of fuel generates gas emissions such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other gases that have contributed and still contribute to generate and enhance the greenhouse effect, acid rain, air, soil and water pollution. The polluting effects are not only linked to their combustion but also to transportation (oil spills) and the by-products they produce (hydrocarbons and toxic by-products).
