Have you been assigned a research project and didn't know if your resources were accurate? You aren't alone! A lot of students don't know where to start when it comes to evaluating your resources. I am here to help!

The first step when coming upon a resource is to act like a detective. A TOP SECRET detective. You have to put your skills to the test. This means gathering information about the source you found to ensure quality, reliability, and accurate content for your topic.

Some questions to ask the suspect (the resource):
-Are you reliable?
-Is your information accurate and timeliness?
-Are you relevant and appropriate to my research topic?
-Who is your author?
-Are they an authority on the topic?
-What is the purpose of your information?
QUESTION YOUR SUSPECT!!
(this helps you practice information literacy)
