There was once a Lyrebird that went by the name of Lyle. Lyle was a very amazing bird who had a special talent.
Lyle is able to mimic any sound in the world and his parents really admired his talent.
Lyle is very shy when it comes to using his special talent. His parents really want him to join the school talent-show but he is afraid about what his classmates might say to him.
Lyle attends a school where all of the birds have physically gifted talents and he does not. Oscar the Ostrich can run up to 43 miles per hour, Harry the Hummingbird can fly in reverse and Polly the Peregrine Falcon can reach 220 miles per hour when she does her amazing nose dive.
This discourages Lyle and his classmates even make fun of him for not having a talent like theirs. Lyle feels like he has no chance at winning the talent show.
Until, one day, Lyle's teacher heard him making the sounds of many different instruments during lunch time. She approached Lyle and complimented his special talent.
She asked him about where he learned this special talent and if he could use it at the talent show. He didn't know how to respond and was conflicted on what decision he should make.
He wanted to win the talent show and prove to everyone that he is just as talented as them. At the same time, he was very shy and didn't like using his talent in front of others.
Lyle's teacher was able to see the uncertainty that Lyle had on his face. She told him that she will meet him here tomorrow and help him practice if he wanted to.
