-To my horse back riding instructor Ms. Courtney

Step One: Mounting
First you gather up your reins. Next you put your left foot in the stirrup. Then you swing you right foot over. Lastly you put you right foot in the stirrup.

Step two: Moving To make a horse walk, say "Walk on" and kick them with the bottom of your heel. Remember to always keep you heels down!

Step 3: Turning
To turn, pull the rein on the side you want to go. You can do this with the left and right side. For a stubborn horse, kick as well.

Step 4: Stopping
To stop, pull back both sides of the reins untill the horse stops. Once the horse stops, immediately release the pressure from the horses mouth. If you don't it will cause the horse to back up.
