It was a sunny, summer day. Henry’s parents had just
bought him a new bike for his birthday. Henry was
really excited to try out his new bike. Henry was going
to go biking for the whole day. It was getting close to
lunchtime and his mom said that he had to come
home for lunch. She said that Henry had to get home
soon. He had two choices, both were favorable. One of
the choices was to use the longer, safer way, or take
the short, dangerous path. Henry chose the quick,
unsafe way. Henry had to go through a few alleys,
which in turn, made him feel a little scared. Henry
though that if he went quick, he would miss the
weirdos and hobos that lived in the alleys of the city.
So he set off on his way home.

The alleys were dark and full of scary noises and
items. Henry thought that there would be a person
around every corner that would scare him silly. Luckily
for him, there wasn’t. Finally, as he came to the last
alley, there was a man sitting at the end of the alley.
Henry had to will up some energy to keep going. When
he got close to the guy, he was frightened. The man
stood up and blocked his path. The tough looking man
roughly pushed Henry off the bike and then rode it away
down the street. Henry was terrified and disheartened,
his life was ruined.

Henry was determined to get his bike back no matter
what. He didn’t tell his parents about what happened in the
alley. The city was littered with LOST BIKE signs and emails to
lost and found areas in the city. He called people and talked to
his friends. No one had any idea where his bike was or what
happened to it.
Over time, his parents had a suspicion and asked him what
was going on. He told them what happened that dreadful day
he lost his bike. Henry’s parents then told him that they would
help him in his quest to find his lost bike too. Even with his
parents guidance and help, Henry thought that he wasn’t ever
going to get his stolen bike back.

They spent a good month or so trying to locate the bike.
Finally, one day while searching on Craigslist, Henry spotted
the bike listed for sale. He was overjoyed that he had located
his stolen bicycle. It was time to figure out how to get his bike
back to himself, the rightful owner. It was a warm, sunny morning
for Henry, as he was excited because he had a brilliant plan in his
head. Henry had memorized what he was going to do exactly.
It was close to lunchtime when he set off for the man’s
house. The man, Jerome, had told Henry to address and when
he wanted to meet. Henry was getting close to Jerome’s house
when it started to rain. The man’s house was old and rotting. The
man was standing outside with Henry’s stolen bike! Henry was mad
and excited at the same time. It was time to get his bike back.
