Once upon a time in a land not too far lived a princess who owned the most beautiful things.
She had lavish gowns and sparkling jewels,
silk gloves and the most wonderful shoes,
but her favorite thing of all was her crown, that sat so prettily atop her head.
One morning when the princess awoke, she found the most horrible thing.
Her
crown
had
gone
missing!
She looked under the bed,
she checked behind the door,
she searched every single inch of the castle floor.
Alas
no
crown
was
found!
The princess was very distressed and found herself unable to rest so she set off on a journey seeking her prize:
a tiara of insurmountable size
The princess went to the village to look around but was frustrated when there was nothing to be found.
She looked in the bakery,
dug through the apples in the store,
searched every single inch of the village floor.
Alas
no
crown
was
found!
"Have you seen my crown?" the princess asked a young girl,
"No." The girl said, "but I could help you look." she had curly blonde hair and was very small. Her clothes were not beautiful, not even at all.
"Fine." The princess rolled her eyes, "Yay!" said the young girl.
Next, they went to the beach to look for their treasure, but no crown was nearby.
!
!
!
They checked the sandcastles,
ran up and down the shore,
searched every single inch of the sandy floor.
Alas
no
crown
was
found!
“I’m so sorry” the girl giggled, holding back her smile at the silly sight. The princess was soaking wet and very uptight.
The young girl played in the waves while the princess paced and the young girl accidentally splashed water all over the princess’s face.
“Don’t worry about it’s just a dress. No reason to be super stressed. I’ll help you clean it when we get back.”
“We came here to look for my crown and now you’ve ruined my beautiful gown!”
The princess was angry and stomped away but continued her hunt without delay.
They went to the forest to look some more. Perhaps the crown was hidden beneath the trees.
There were bunnies and deer. There were squirrels, and a fox. A racoon with stripes. Birds of all types. Even an owl with big eyes,
but no tiara of insurmountable size
They swung through the trees,
continued to explore,
searched every single inch of the mossy floor.
Alas
no
crown
was
found!
