My mom was 9 years old in 1970. Along with her dad, mom, and older brother, they moved to a farm where they would raise lots of animals.

My family had 33 acres of land where they raised horses, pigs, sheep, chickens, and lots of kittens.

We grew up not having the internet, cell phones, computers, or video games. We had wall phones or a phone that would sit on an end table. If you wanted privacy, you could only go as far as the chord would take you. The phones had dials! On the tv, we only had four network channels too.
When my mom would do her homework, her only source of help was a dictionary or encyclopedia. Today, kids rely heavily on the internet.

When our family went on vacations, my dad would use a paper map for directions. Dad would NEVER ask for directions!
