Tom is a skeleton who was used to scare everyone. No matter what he did and no matter how much he smiled, every time he got close to a child, an animal or an adult, everyone was shocked and ran away with big fear.

Tom just wanted to go out late at night, as it was the only time he could walk around without scaring anyone.

However, something always happened. If a child saw him through the window or an adult found him while he was walking... you can imagine how scared they were.

Tom needed to go out every day. He liked walking and breathing fresh air and if he listened to music he couldn't stop moving his body.Little by little, Tom stopped going out for walks, because he didn't like children to be scared by him, he felt very sad and disappointed every time that happened.

One night, not very different to any other, something happened that Tom could have never imagined.

As he was walking down the street, he saw a lady in the distance.

So as not to scare the poor woman, Tom dropped to the ground and layed there very quietly.

The woman got close to Tom and said:

Hi, I'm Ms Angels, what's your name? 

    My name is Tom

And why are you lying on the floor, Tom?

I didn't mean to scare you

I don't get scared that easily. Besides, what should I be scared of?

  I’m….I'm different from the others. No one has ever wanted to get close to me.

Don't worry, we are all different in our own way. Look, I am a teacher and I never judge others by their looks. Would you like to introduce yourself to my students and teach in class with me?

I don’t know…..do you think they are going to laugh at me?

Of course not! Trust me.

The next day, Tom showed up with a t-shirt on, a hat and even a backpack to look a little more like the others.

When Tom walked into the classroom with a bit of fear and looked around, he realized that people around him were very different from him, and he started to be scared again and feel very nervous. But Ms Angels was always there to calm Tom.
