How it all started
Since beginning of humanity, people were scratching on the walls of the caves to communicate and to prove their existence. The scratches were simple and made of different materials discovered by then like blood, colored stones, coal etc.

The techniques evolved in time so they became popular everywhere, from small scratches turned into works of art. When humans started to recognize the beautiful in paintings, they created art galleries all around the world.

However, not everyone was going to art galleries so, artists came with the concept of ''street art''. The main idea of street art is to be somewhere for everyone to see it. This is how ZidArt was born.

In our city, street art project started in 2017. Since then, it became a tradition for street artists to come yearly in Bacau, Romania to paint on walls. Each painting has a emotional story behind.
The work we choose to talk about is called Co-creation made by our local citizen Silviu Berdila with the artistic name Monk Ink.

The story of Co-creation
This painting is located on Panselelor street nr. 4 on a flat building. It was made in 2020 and its story came from the building's inhabitants who were fighting for the old trees situated in front of the block that were about to be chopped off. This mural signifies the importance of nature in our life and souls.
The first impression of the painting has a big emotional impact. The woman signifies a nature's Goddess that wants to protect a sacred place.

Monk Ink's art symbolizes the urban slippages and raises awareness on the importance of nature in the places where the oxygen isn't a close friend in people's lives anymore.
