AUTISM: is a developmental disability.

Children have social problems, difficulties with communication, and behavioral challenges.    

Along with problem - solving abilities.

Children with Autism may avoid eye contact. They have trouble relating to others. These children have difficulties understanding people's feelings or expressing their own feelings. 

A child with Autism may have problems responding to loud noises. They have difficulties with routines, changes and transitions. And a child with autism may have reactions to certain foods, smells, tastes, feelings and sounds.

Developmental Milestones 18 to 24 Months

Some early signs of Autism maybe at 9 months an infant does not respond to their name or facial expressions. No gestures. Does not point & looks away. Does not like pretend play or dramatic play.

Repetitive Behaviors

Obsessive, rocking in a chair, flapping hands

Unusual reactions to sounds, smells, tastes and feelings. 

Some children with Autism may like art activities and dancing to music. Delayed language skills & movement skills

Hyperactive, impulsive & have inattentive behaviors

Epilepsy & Seizure disorders

Unusual eating habits

Unusual moods, and emotional reactions
