My wings are shivering,
If you read this, you will say I am real.
But I am not.
Please do not read this. . . .
I can breath fire on you if you exist.

Ten blue tenacles were around Lussy. Lussy screamed as the
monster stepped on her tail. I knew that monster! He was
Dr. Onglam. Lussy was trying to breath fire, but her body did nothing.
I had to save her. My tail curled up with my lips. Fire whizzed out of
my mouth along with a roar. Dr. Onglam looked at me.
"Ah, Horgan. You here to be Lussy's hero?
You can't even fly!" Dr. Onglam snickered.

"That snakegon baby cannot be picked on!
I will immediately stop you!" I growled, fiercely
thrashing my tail.
"HELP!" Lussy cried loudly as one of the tentacles picked her up.
"I can too fly." I said, circling Dr. Onglam.
"Really?" he said, pushing a button.
His side was lifting up. I couldn't jump. I had to fly. I set my wings.
"Horgan, you have to fly!" Lussy screamed.

"I will!" I said.
Flaps of wing beats filled the air. Lots of
bravery filled my heart. I took a breath. I jumped.
I didn't make it, but one claw was hanging on. I
flapped my wings wildly, blowing air in my face. Lussy
screamed.
All of the sudden my claw slipped. I tried flying
but my right wing went numb. I fell down. I closed my
eyes. I snored.
I woke up. So many rocks. A blast of wind knocked
me over. My snakegon body lay on its side. A shadow
cast over me.

"Ow!" I winced, putting my claws roughly on a sharp rock.
The shadow spoke. "I'm glad you stopped by," it said.
Dr. Onglam stepped out of the shadow.
"So brave of you to save Lussy." Dr. Onglam sneered.
I made fun of him. "Is the Dr. in?"
I asked, eying him.
He grunted. "NO! GET OUT!"
Poor me. I walked outside.
I didn't save Lussy. I failed her.

Lussy popped up next to me. "Bad," she said snarling away. So much
for trying to save Lussy.
I thought for a moment. I needed to practice flying. "I will be
unstoppable if I can teach myself," I said aloud. I ran to a blue-green
seaweed cave.
Inside was a Seaweed Dragon. I forget her name. Sorry. My long
tail snuck in. "Uh, Hello?" I asked the darkness.

A green dragon stepped out. "Yes?" she
asked. She had blue eyes and beautiful wings.
Her tail swished. Legs were sticking out by her tail.
I looked down. My feet were on my tail.
"I'm Horgan," I said, blushing.
"Oh, hello, Horgan. I'm Breeze Shimmer.
You may call me Breezy," said Breeze Shimmer.
"What do you want?"
"I want to learn how to fly," I said
with my nicest tone. "I can only jump. "

Breeze Shimmer shook her head gently "Do
you flap your wings?"
"Yes. I try. I'm too busy thinking about
getting away," I said.
Squinting, Breezy said, "Flap your wings for
me."
So I did.
"Do this thousands of times until you lift off
the ground. Then, soar!" Breezy exclaimed.
I flapped my wings at the same beat.

I did this millions of times until I felt bored. I thought about giving up
until my feet lifted off the ground. SO AMAZING! I thought I was floating
but I realized I was flying! "WOW!" I said. I searched for words but I was
too amazed.
"Congrats. You can fly, Horgan."
Breezy said brushing her wings
against my tail.
With a thud, I landed.
"Thank you," Breezy said.
"No, thank you, Breeze Shimmer,"
I said flying away.

Air welcomed me to the sky. The sky ate me up with love and breeze.
For a minute, I stopped flapping my wings. I soared through the sky. What
scared me was the height. I was up about 100 feet. But I liked that I could
see far away. "Love is air." I thought. "Air is love." I thought these
thoughts over until it made sense to me.
To defeat Dr. Onglam I had to introduce him to air. He breathes water.
That is why he carries a waterhatchet with him. Or, I could take away his
waterhatchet. I thought and thought. I needed to take away his
waterhatchet. Ya!
I flew to my cave. Lussy and Molly were there.

"Where were you?" Molly asked, like she was my mom.
"I was learning how to fly. Breeze Shimmer taught me," I said.
"I could have taught you. I'm a teen,"
Molly said acting like she was my mom again.
"Horgan almost saved me," Lussy
whispered.
"Good for you." Molly said.
(Molly always acts like she did it.)
"I could have saved Lussy," Molly said.
I had enough of Molly. "Well, I'm
the one who did it." I said. Molly stormed
out of the cave.

I looked at Lussy. "You're my hero,"
she said walking out of the cave. I knew
I had to run away. I set my wings.
With a flap I was off. I flew
to Dr. Onglam's fortress. If I
could defeat him, I could live there.
A red-blue dragon flew next to me.
"Ah, a Snakegon. Rare species," he said.
"I'm named Glop. Your name?" Glop asked.

I gulped. "Horgan the Snakegon. I'm taking down
Dr. Onglam today," I said.
Glop looked at me and
flew away.
From where I was
I could see Dr. Onglam's lair.
"Love is air!" I shouted,
charging into his lair.

Windows shattered as I landed. Dr. Onglam
was in shock. "You! You broke into my lair. I will
pick you up!" he said.
I growled. "You don't scare me anymore,
Dr. Onglam!" I said spitting roars of fire.
Dr. Onglam stepped back. He looked at me. He pressed his button.
His side rose. I knew I could do it. I jumped. Flapping my wings
dozens of times, I lifted above the ground.

I made it! I gave Dr. Onglam a punch in
the face and a blast of fire. He tried to
drink some water from his waterhatchet. I
kept blowing my fire.

Dr. Onglam burst into ashes. I looked at the pile. My
fire no longer came out of my mouth. I did it. I defeated
Dr. Onglam. Ashes surrounded his waterhatchet and the
glass.
A smile streaked across my face. I thought
how powerful dragons are, but snakegons are
far more powerful. I spit some poison on the pile
of ashes.
I left his lair. As much as I hated
Dr. Onglam I was happy he was gone. I
thought about living there, but with
the ashes and broken windows I'd
rather find a cave. I set my wings and
flew off to find a new cave.
